A date has been set for the retrial of the penalty phase of the Jodi Arias trial. The last several months have seen a good bit of legal jockeying which has delayed the retrial of the penalty phase, particularly from Arias’ camp, including motions to move the trial out of Phoenix and monitoring the Twitter handles of new jurors. These motions were denied.
The public will not be able to witness the drama firsthand as unlike the original trial in which Arias was found guilty in the murder of Travis Alexander live television will be banned.
As of March 17th the new jurors will be presented with evidence from the original trial as lawyers from both sides lay out their cases for either life imprisonment, or the death penalty.
