The FBI is stepping up to the plate and offering a $25,000 reward for anyone who can give them information on the abduction and murder of 10-year-old Amy Mihaljevic.

In what’s been described as one of the most widely publicized disappearances in Northern Ohio’s history, Amy was snatched on Oct. 27, 1989. Not only was Amy stabbed, but the FBI says she had trauma to her head. According to Cleveland.com, Amy’s body was found nearly four months later by a jogger in Ashland County.

The FBI said, “Further investigation revealed that Mihaljevic had received a phone call prior to her abduction from an unknown person. That person arranged a meeting with Mihaljevic to assist the caller in selecting a gift to give to Mihaljevic’s mother because of her promotion at “Trading Times Magazine.”

Just this week, the FBI published a podcast and said Amy, who was abducted at the Bay Village shopping center, was possibly taken by a white male between 30-40 years old.

There are a couple of items missing from her body that have never been found including black boots, a leather binder and a turquoise horse earring, says the FBI.

If you know anything, please call the FBI.
