A teenage boy was found sneaking around inside his daughter’s bedroom and the situation didn’t end well. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office was called early Thursday to the 22000 block of Bridgestone Ridge Drive in Harris County, TX for a report of a shooting.
According to a police press release, the 55-year-old homeowner found a 17-year-old man inside his home — specifically in the bedroom where his daughter sleeps. Investigators said the suspect’s 16-year-old daughter let the boy into the house. The father stated that he heard noises coming from her bedroom around 2:30am and went to investigate.
A fight broke out and instead of calling the police, the homeowner allegedly shot the teen one time. That shot was enough to kill him and authorities say he died at the scene.
Currently, according to police, this is an open and active investigation. All findings will be presented to the local Harris County Grand Jury. Charges at this point are not pending against the homeowner, but this is a story Crime Feed is monitoring.
