California Highway Patrol was working on an Amber Alert last night to find missing 3-year-old Tanya Ruiz. Investigations initially believed Tanya was abducted from her Fresno, CA home on April 27 and was found running through a field near her house this morning.
Reports indicate Tanya’s mom told authorities she strapped her daughter into her car seat around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday just before she vanished. After realizing she forgot something inside the house, according to KABC, went back inside and came out — and the child was gone.
KABC also said witnesses told police the suspect may have been on a bicycle, it’s possible a bike was recovered in the area.
As for the suspect, reports indicate they are still searching the area for the alleged abductor who was only initially described as a Hispanic male.
