The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for 2-year-old Maliah Harris (pictured above) on Wednesday, but cancelled it early Thursday morning after the toddler was found unharmed.
Investigators believe the toddler was abducted by her parents, 34-year-old Donald Boyd Harris and 31-year-old Allison Kaye Studdard after her baby sister was found dead.
Reports indicate the couple fled after their 7-month-old baby, Alyssa, was not breathing in their Columbus, Mississippi home. WAPT said the grandfather came over around 5:30 a.m. and found Alyssa, the parents left as he was calling 911. No word on what caused the baby’s death, an autopsy is pending.
The family was found in Georgia, according to reports, early Thursday morning. The parents are in custody. It is unclear what charges, if any, they are facing.
