Suspected Craigslist Killer Arrested, Facing Murder Charges For Killing Man Over Samsung Tablet

It’s a Craigslist meeting that ended with a father of two being gunned down for his Samsung tablet. The murder happened over a year ago, but now police say they’ve made an arrest.

Felix DeJesus, according to the Hartford Police, was a hard-working father who like many people placed an ad on the popular Craigslist website. NBC Connecticut said Felix was in touch several times with a potential buyer and at some point, they set a time and date to meet.

According to investigators, on the evening of May 8, 2013, Felix met the buyer on Allendale Road, but things went horribly wrong. Around 8 p.m. Felix was found shot in the head by one single bullet, his tablet was gone and he was left fighting for his life.

Felix passed away early the next morning, and the hunt instantly began to find his killer.

On June 17, homicide detectives finally had answers for Felix’s family and announced they made an arrest. Although they won’t say how they closed in on 22-year-old Rashad Moon, they did say he is facing charges of felony murder and first-degree robbery.

According to police, Moon is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
