According to “The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case,” which aired yesterday, O.J. Simpson thought about committing suicide in the bedroom of none other than Kim Kardashian (the then-14-year-old daughter of his lawyer friend Robert Kardashian).
According to NY Daily News, Simpson recorded a suicide tape while he was hiding out from police at Kardashian’s house on June 17, 1994. On the tape, he begged friends and fans to “Please remember me as ‘The Juice.’”
He also reportedly pleaded, “Please remember me as a good guy. Don’t remember me as one of the negatives that might end up here. Please, please, please, please leave my kids at peace. I love everybody.”
By that point, Simpson had been charged with the murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman.
Robert Kardashian later said he walked in on Simpson contemplating suicide in Kim’s bedroom; before he died, Robert told ABC News’ “20/20” that he found Simpson “sitting there with a gun and his pictures of his kids and of Nicole.”
Back in 2003, Robert Kardashian also remembered Simpson telling him, “’I’m gonna kill myself in this room.’ And I said, you can’t. This is my daughter’s bedroom,” Kardashian said in recorded interviews before his death in 2003. “I can’t have my little girl in this bedroom and every time I come in here I’m gonna see your body.”
