Suicidal Mom Forces Four-Year-Old Son To Eat Ant Poison

Authorities say a Texas woman, intending to kill herself and her three children, forced her youngest kid to eat ant poison.

Paw Eh of Dallas also reportedly attempted to have her seven-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter ingest a portion of the substance.

According to Dallas News, the oldest daughter told police that she saw the 31-year-old woman get the insecticide and put a tablespoon into a container. She then mixed it with water and forced the four-year-old to drink it by jamming the spoon into his mouth and slapping his cheek.

“My mom wants to kill us with poison powder that kills ants and stuff,” the seven-year-old boy told cops.

The oldest daughter also informed authorities that her mother said she wanted to kill them and herself. Police were notified of the incident after the older children ran to their grandmother’s apartment for help.

Eh’s arrest came as no shock to some of her neighbors. CBS Dallas-Fort Worth reports that neighbors were concerned about her mental health for some time — with one saying she “was not 100 percent.” Others also claimed she was under treatment for her issues.

“All she talked about was she couldn’t sleep at night, or she was thinking about suicide,” resident Sharl Nie told the station.

Charged with attempted capital murder, the 31-year-old is at Dallas County jail and is held on $500,000. The four-year-old’s condition has improved from critical to stable and the two other kids are currently in CPS custody.

It sounds horrible, but every time I read a story like this, I think to myself “if you’re going to kill yourself, then just do it. Don’t take innocent people with you”.
