A Chinese woman who woke up from a coma after eight long months is finally speaking out about who allegedly put her in the hospital in the first place.
According to Mashable, 22-year-old Lin Yingying was allegedly severely beat down inside a bakery she ran in Liaoning, China. Although the incident occurred in September 2014, she did not wake from a vegetative state until May 2015. At first it appeared to be some sort of isolated incident, until Yingying was finally able to wake up and tell her family what happened.
According to SCMP, Yingying pointed the finger directly at her “loving” boyfriend. The 22-year-old, identified as Liu Fenghe, is the same man who had stayed by his girlfriend’s side throughout every step of her coma and recovery.
Reports say Fenghe even spent upwards of $30,000 on all of Yingying’s medical bills.
When Yingying woke up, she said he allegedly beat her up because she accidentally burned bread inside their bakery.
“Lin also revealed that the incident was not the first time she had been abused by Liu, and that he had threatened her about revealing the truth,” SCMP reports.
Fenghe has not been charged, but Yingying’s father said he has contacted authorities and reported the matter to police.
