24-YEAR-OLD VANISHES FROM CAMPGROUND

On June 22 at approximately 9:15 p.m., Rachael Mattice, 24, vanished without a trace from her hometown of Wells, New York, News 10 reports.  Rachael’s mom, Wendy Mattice, told the station that she had her daughter over for dinner that evening; afterwards, Rachael returned to the camper trailer parked on her family’s campground. Investigators say that the door to the camper was left wide open, and Mattice’s personal items, including her phone and purse, were inside.

Rach, I love you dear with all my heart,” Wendy said during a candlelight vigil attended by family and friends. They’ve also reportedly asked country music legend Shania Twain, Mattice’s favorite singer, to help them in any way she can.

And you can help too – if you know anything about Rachael Mattice’s whereabouts or have information that could be helpful to the investigation, please contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at 518-548-3113

WOMAN DISAPPEARS WHILE IN NEW ORLEANS

Chanda Smith was on vacation in New Orleans when she disappeared in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, June 26, the Clarion Ledger reports. The 38-year-old – who’s originally from Mississippi – was last seen around 1 a.m. on Canal Street. Smith reportedly suffers from schizophrenia and is also bipolar, and may be without her medications. While family and friends are worried about her, they say the mother of two is not someone to be scared of and they don’t want her mental health history to distract from the fact that she’s missing.

She’s a very gentle person, and has never harmed anybody, and I don’t’ think she’s ever illustrated traits of having a harmful bone in her body,” her brother, Jonathon Stevens, told the Clarion Ledger. “She’s gentle, kind and caring. She’s a mother and she’s a humble person. Her leaving and being gone this long isn’t characteristic of her.

If you know anything about Chandra’s case, please contact the New Orleans Police at 504-658-6080.
