Here are the crime stories making headlines today, June 6, 2016…

  • Babysitter charged with murder after administering fatal dose of Benadryl to infant. Lori Conley, 43 (pictured above), an unlicensed daycare provider who had eight children in her care, told detectives she gave the eight-month-old the medication to help him sleep. [ABC News]
  • Elementary school principal arrested for child porn. Ricky Delano Sheppard, the 59-year-old principal of Holland Elementary School in Satellite Beach, Florida, was arrested after a search warrant led experts to find child-pornography images on his computer. A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday. [NBC Miami]
  • A Norwich, Connecticut, man, 39-year-old Patrick Antoine, is accused of murdering his eight-months pregnant wife, after which he set their home on fire. He allegedly believed she was a voodoo priestess who was casting spells against him. Margarette Mady, 37, was stabbed multiple times with a steak knife. Antoine confessed to the crime, turning himself into Norwich police covered in blood. [NBC Connecticut]

  • Andre Timothy Jackson, Jr., 27, has been arrested for the stabbing death of an 11-year-old boy, Josue Flores. The boy was fatally stabbed while walking from from school. Jackson, who is a homeless U.S. Marine veteran, has claimed on Facebook to be suffering from PTSD. He had been living at a Salvation Army homeless shelter. [WFAA]
  • NYPD cop dragged elderly woman out of an elevator and punched her. Officer Vladimir Radionov, 46, who was off-duty, got into an argument with his 71-year-old neighbor. [NY Daily News]
  • Five shot in two separate shootings on the same block in Coney Island. A 38-year-old man was randomly shot in the back early Sunday, by what seems to have been a stray bullet. A few hours later, around 2:20 p.m., a dramatic shootout occurred just around the corner, leaving four wounded. [NY Daily News]

  • Arrests made in New Dehli–based organ-smuggling ring. A prestigious hospital has allegedly been involved in luring poor people in to sell their kidneys. Five people are in police custody. The harvested organs were sold on the black market for a large profit. [CNN]

  • “I will fear no evil for thou art with me,” read some of the religious words tattooed on a Jane Doe found unconscious and seriously injured in the Bronx. The woman is in her 30s and is tattooed with Bible verses and rosary beads. Police are hoping someone recognizes her tattoos and can help identify the victim. [NY Post]
