Alleged “Grindr Serial Killer” Receives Additional Charges For Drugging And Sexually Assaulting 8 Other Victims

Prosecutors in London have announced more charges against 40-year-old Stephen Port, the alleged “Grindr Serial Killer. Port already faces multiple murder charges after four bodies were discovered near his home between June 2014 and September 2015. According to authorities, Port allegedly met the male victims on gay dating websites, lured them to his East London flat, and poisoned them with the party drug GHB. The four men who died reportedly suffered overdoses. He has already been charged with four counts of murder, and four counts of administering poison.

On Monday, prosecutors added six more charges of administering a poison, four charges of sexual assault and seven charges of rape, for additional nonlethal attacks against eight other victims between August 2011 and October 2015. Port remains in jail until his trial, which is scheduled to begin on October 4. That trial is now anticipated to take 10 weeks.
