Fugitive Comments On Police Statement On Facebook & Requests They Use A Better Photo Of Her In Their Press Release

On August 19, according to the New York Daily News, 18-year-old Amy Sharp allegedly escaped from the Surry Hills Corrective Services Cell Complex in Australia and was on the run. Police hunted for her for days, but came up empty-handed. Five days later, on August 24, 7 News Sydney posted this police statement regarding Sharp’s disappearance on their Facebook page, including two less-than-flattering pictures of Sharp released by the New South Wales police. They had apparently been taken when she was initially booked:

Apparently, these images did not sit well with Sharp, who took a break from fleeing the cops on her tail in order to post a comment:

Needless to say, Sharp was arrested shortly thereafter in Wentworth Park, not far from the very police station where she had escaped. She has been charged with an outstanding warrant, as well as escaping lawful custody. She reportedly appeared before the Parramatta bail court over the weekend, but it’s unclear what she wore or if she had a fresh blowout, just in case there were pictures …
