  • Suge Knight has sensationally claimed that Dr. Dre sent hitmen to kill him. According to Knight, Dre owed the Death Row Records founder 30 percent of his earnings and hired assassins rather than paying him. Suge also alleges that he had a lifetime contract with Dre and was owed upward of $300 million following Dre’s billion-dollar deal with Apple for Beats by Dre. Suge went on to accuse Dre for the shooting at 1Oak nightclub back in 2014 when he was shot seven times in the stomach. Suge claims that Dre hired a man named T-Money to shoot him for $50,000, and a second man later for $300,000. [Oxygen.com/TMZ]

  • A federal grand jury has hit a former Kansas City wedding photographer with a 21-count indictment after he allegedly tricked dozens of women into having sex with him after making them believe that they were “auditioning” for pornographic movies. The U.S. Attorney’s Office alleges that Mario Antoine, 33, who has been investigated in the past for defrauding brides and grooms out of wedding photos, posed as a talent manager, photographer, and videographer for fake companies with names such as “Playboy Worldwide,” “Playboy Asia,” and “Dash Agency.” Court papers say that beginning in 2011, he lured models by pretending that he was scouting for jobs performing for the fake websites. [Fox 4 KC/DailyMail.com]

    • A two-year-old hawk named “Wonky” was stolen last week by burglars who had broken into a bird house at a property in Laxford, England. Police say that the brown-colored bird was wearing cream leather anklets with its name stamped on them when it was stolen sometime between October 18 and October 20. Now investigators are appealing to the public for help in tracking the missing bird down. Authorities said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the theft and police are urging anyone with any information to contact them on 101 quoting reference number 300 20/10/16.” [Chronicle Live]
    • Wayne County Judge Arnold O. Jones II is going to jail for trying to spy on his wife’s text messages. Jones allegedly asked a friend in the sheriff’s office if copies of text messages between his wife and another man could be obtained through police channels — which is illegal without a warrant and suspicion of criminal activity. Jones then reportedly offered his “friend” two cases of Bud Light in exchange for helping him spy on his wife. [Newser.com]
    • A Long Island cardiologist has pleaded guilty to conspiring to have another doctor attacked following a professional dispute. Nassau County prosecutors say that Dr. Anthony Moschetto offered an undercover officer $5,000 to have the man beaten and $20,000 to have him killed. Moschetto was recorded on video giving the officer $500 and blank prescriptions as a deposit. When investigators searched Moschetto’s mansion in Sands Point, they found weapons hidden in a secret compartment behind a bookcase. [NBC New York]
    • Police in southern California have issued a sketch of a distinctive-looking man they are seeking over an attempted child kidnapping. Authorities say the suspect has a distinctive “third eye” tattooed on his forehead and a skull inked onto the front of his neck. The suspect allegedly tried to kidnap an 11-year-old by grabbing her and pulling her into a lifted Ford F250 pick-up truck in Imperial Beach at around 5 P.M. last Wednesday afternoon, Fox 5 San Diego reports. [The Huffington Post]

  • A 41-year-old California man has been handed a 1,503-year sentence for repeatedly raping his teenage daughter in what prosecutors say is the longest known sentence ever handed down in Fresco Superior Court. Rene Lopez was convicted of 186 counts of felony sexual assault and reportedly showed no remorse, blamed his daughter, and turned down numerous plea deals that would have afforded him a much more lenient sentence. One such deal would have seen him go free in 13 years. [Newser.com]
  • A Kansas man who admitted to endangering a child after a two-year-old boy in his care ended up with a small octopus lodged in his throat has been sentenced to two years of probation. Matthew Gallagher, 37, pleaded guilty on Thursday to a reduced count of child endangerment, as well as charges of battery and interference with law enforcement. The boy’s mother told investigators she returned from work on April 5 to find Gallagher performing CPR on her son at her Wichita home. Doctors found a small octopus in the boy’s throat. Gallagher told police he had been eating sushi at the time. [WIVB]
