Viki Odintcova, 23, was taken into custody after video emerged of her dangling in thin air from the 1,004-foot tall Cayan Tower in Dubai in a bid to get the perfect Instagram selfie. The Cayan Tower was the world’s tallest building with a 90-degree twist when it opened in 2013.

The Russian model was filmed leaning backward with no visible safety measures in place, from an elevation so high that the curve of the Earth is visible. She was then pictured hanging over the edge of the tower held only by the hand of a male assistant.

Her video and photos went viral and were shared thousands of times. Odinctova has gained more than 3 million Instagram followers so far, but many commenters have criticized her for risking her life to get the perfect selfie.

Not worth risking your lives for,” one user commented.

Another Russian model, Angelina Nikolau, 23 (below), has made headlines around the world with her dangerous photographs on tall buildings.

Another fact about me: I’m really scared of water, especially of the sea and the ocean! I learned how to swim at the age of 18. The only ”watery” place where I feel myself comfortable is a not deep swimming pool. At what age did you learn to swim? For amazing photo thanks to my @beerkus

People do stupid things like this for attention all the time, but at least she is getting reprimanded for it. Hopefully she learns her lesson, but people like her love to take risks no matter the consequences, just because she loves the attention no matter if negative attention. For some people, getting in trouble, even with the law, doesn’t stop them from doing stupid things over and over again.

    • I’ve made $104,000 last year by working online from my house and I did that by working part-time for 3+ hours /day. I followed an earning opportunity I stumbled upon online and I am so amazed that i earned such great money. It’s very newbie-friendly and I’m just so grateful that i learned about it. Taking the risk that fails, is not worth it.
I ask myself 1,004-feet and never tousled her hair? no wind in Dubai?
