Jerry Sandusky’s adopted son John has been arrested and hit with a string of sexual-offense charges related to lewd text messages he allegedly sent two underage victims in 2013 and 2016.
According to court documents, 41-year-old Sandusky faces 14 counts, including soliciting sex from a child under age 16, and soliciting child pornography.
The report mentions two sisters, who are referred to as “Victim #1” and “Victim #2.” Sandusky lived with the girls for several years while he was dating their mother.
Victim #1 claims that in 2016, Sandusky texted her and asked for pictures of her “boobs” and explained “it’s not weird because he studied medicine.”
She also claimed that Sandusky asked for her to send photos of her “in the morning when she is dressing for school” and also “while she is changing or taking a ‘piss,’ etc.”
Victim #1 told police she informed her mother about the incidents months later, and she threw Sandusky out of the house.
When Victim #1 told her older sister, now 19, about the abuse, Victim #2 said Sandusky had sent creepy texts to her in 2013 asking her to “suck him off.” She also told police that she had sex with Sandusky when she 15 and he was 37.
Sandusky faces charges including solicitation (statutory sexual assault), solicitation (involuntary deviate sexual intercourse), solicitation (photographing, videotaping, depicting on computer of filming sexual acts), unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, and solicitation (sexual abuse of children), according to The Daily Beast.
When Victim #1 refused Sandusky’s requests, he allegedly wrote back and told her “to erase all the texts and that none of this ‘shit’ gets mentioned to anyone or seen by anyone,” according to an affidavit. He then wrote that “they need to talk to get things straightened out.”
According to the affidavit, the accuser hit back. “No, we don’t need to talk and we aren’t going to. You did what you did and I’m not going to give you a chance to try and justify it,” she wrote.
“You literally tried to guilt me into doing it and you even told me specifically what I ‘needed’ to do. You know who does that? Rapists and Abusers, not stepdads who care about their stepdaughters. I don’t know how many times I need to tell you no and to stop before you get it.”
A preliminary hearing for Sandusky is scheduled for February 22, and Centre County district attorney Stacy Parks Miller has said he will prosecute the case “aggressively.”
Sandusky has been suspended without pay from his job as a corrections officer at Rockview State Prison.
His father, disgraced Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, was convicted of sexually abusing 10 boys five years ago.
In a 2015 interview with Bleacher Report, the younger Sandusky defended his father. “Dad himself says he had boundary issues, meaning that he’d put a hand around your shoulder, he’d have his hand on my leg,” Jeffrey told the sports news site. “Can that be taken the wrong way? Yes, and I get it. But he was not doing it to be a creeper, a perv. No, he was doing it to say I care about you.”
Matthew Sandusky, who was also adopted, has claimed that his father sexually abused him for years.
