UPDATE: Missing Autistic Teen Found By FBI After Cryptic Messages Appeared On Snapchat

According to The Black and Missing Foundation, Kennedi Simone High has been located by the FBI, who have contacted her mother. In a tweet, the organization stated: “BREAKING NEWS: Kennedi Simone High has been LOCATED. Her mother was contacted by the FBI that they located her.

Authorities have not yet revealed where Kennedi was found.

ORIGINAL STORY:

BALTIMORE, MD — Police and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are searching for Kennedi High, a missing Maryland teen with autism.

According to The Black and Missing Foundation, Kennedi was last seen leaving Western High School in Baltimore on March 8. She was wearing black pants, black Ugg boots, and a white shirt.

Kennedi is 16 years old, Black, with long brown hair, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs around 120 pounds. She sometimes wears glasses, and her ears are pierced.

Police say they have received information stating that the teen could be in Mountain View, California.

Over the weekend, thousands of commenters on Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, and Snapchat have exchanged cryptic screenshots and commented on Kennedi’s case.

A message was reportedly sent out via Snapchat this weekend from her account, but it has not been verified if it was Kennedi who actually sent it. It read: “Kennedi will be fine with me. She will come home next month or during the summer time.”

The Black and Missing Foundation posted on Twitter that they are continuing to work with Kennedi’s family and law enforcement to find her.

Anyone with information about Kennedi is asked to contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1(800) 843-5678 or Baltimore City Police.
