LONG ISLAND, NY — Police have arrested the teenage sons of the infamous “hot dog lady” of Long Island who pleaded guilty to prostitution in 2012 after cops accused her of offering sex as well as wieners from her hot dog truck.

Cathy Scalia’s sons — 18-year-olds Brandon and Robert Battaglia — are among the four people charged with pepper-spraying, kicking, and beating two other teens with bats at Marjorie Lane Bay Park in East Rockaway on Sunday afternoon.

Avante Lester, 24, and a 16-year-old girl were also charged in what police have described as a gang assault.

The teens allegedly sprayed the victims’ eyes with pepper spray and then used wooden and metal baseball bats to beat them. One of the victims needed 15 staples in his scalp after the attack.

Police have not released a motive. But Scalia said her kids were acting in self defense — and that the two teens that her sons are accused of attacking have been vandalizing her property and harassing her family all week. When confronted about the charge that her sons were responsible, Scalia replied, “You gotta have tapes, you gotta have proof.”

The investigation continues.

Scalia has been busted multiple times in the past. After Scalia, who is not a licensed masseuse, allegedly met an undercover cop at a hotel she faced charges including unauthorized practice and prostitution after offering to perform a sex act for cash.
