MIAMI, FL — On July 24, 1979, a jury convicted Theodore Robert Bundy for the murders of Florida State University students Margaret Bowman and Lisa Levy, in addition to three counts of assault on other women, and two charges of burglary.
It all added up to a sentence of death for Ted Bundy, who would forever after be regarded as one of humanity’s sickest and most sadistic serial killers.
About a decade later, another brand-name cultural villain imposed his own judgment on Bundy. That’s when Charles Manson called him a “poop butt.”
Shortly after Bundy died in the electric chair on January 24, 1989, an interviewer asked Manson what he thought of his fellow notorious criminal. In his signature style, Manson responded:
“Bundy? Bundy’s a rumpkin. Bundy’s a poop butt. Bundy’s his momma’s boy. Bundy’s out there trying to prove something to his own manhood. That’s got nothing to do with me. I don’t roll around with poop people like that. I stand with people that can stand with themselves.”
In regard to Bundy’s eleventh-hour pre-execution claim that “pornography” turned him into a homicidal sex monster, Manson said: “Pornography? I’ve been looking at it all my life, and it hasn’t affected me or anything.”
The long-forgotten video of Manson’s remarks recently resurfaced online and is making the rounds of social media, just in time for the anniversary of Ted Bundy’s finally going down for his horrific atrocities. What a poop butt.
