Upon arriving, officers spotted Corey Berry, 31, drunkenly strolling while clad in a black hoodie and an evil-faced clown mask. Berry was also sporting a machete duct-taped to what remains of his amputated left arm.
After first approaching Berry, the suspect fled into a patch of nearby trees. Police then pursued him in and out of the woods for the next hour, but ultimately brought in their bozo.
State Trooper Aaron Schmidt described Berry as “intoxicated but cooperative.” The drunken, rubber-faced mischief-maker said he was just playing a prank by copying other “creepy clown” sighting scenarios.Related: Eek: Clowns In Cars Are Stalking And Scaring Kids Outside This Town’s Schools
