LAKE WORTH, FL — A homeless man has been arrested and charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed another homeless man to death using a three-foot sword.
Officers picked up George Livingston, 51, on a charge of second-degree murder after he and the victim, 58-year-old David Beckett, got into an argument that turned violent.
Police received a 911 call on Saturday afternoon with someone reporting a victim covered in blood lying next to railroad tracks in Lake Worth, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers found the victim’s body with a three-foot sword lying nearby. Police said Beckett appeared to have “visible injuries consistent with a violent attack.”
Both men reportedly lived in a homeless camp near the scene of the apparent attack.
Livingston made a first appearance before a judge Sunday morning and is being held without bail according to the Palm Beach Post.
