ATLANTA, GA — A fight that broke out between several women at an Atlanta Chick-fil-A drive-thru on Wednesday morning turned violent after one woman pulled out a gun.
Channel 2 Action News obtained video of the fight, which broke out at a Chick-fil-A on Bill Kennedy Way SE at around 9 A.M. “I heard yelling, and then I saw some woman waving a gun around,” a witness, Honey Shaw, told the TV station.
Shaw filmed the incident on her cell phone. She saw two women get out of their cars and begin to argue. Two other people jumped in to intervene — and then the original two women started hitting, slapping, and punching each other. “It was really jarring,” Shaw said. “It just kind of shocked me. It was close in front of me.”
Police at the scene said both women had “visible lacerations.”The suspect, Vonshay Redding, 24, reportedly told police that she had an ongoing dispute with the victim.
Redding was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Last year, Redding pleaded guilty to a financial identity fraud charge.
She was given a $200,000 bond.
