KISSIMMEE, FL — A man is accused of trying to set several sex offenders on fire at a motel in Osceola County, Florida.
Jorge Porto-Sierra, 50, was arrested and charged with four counts of attempted premeditated murder, according to WESH. Porto-Sierra told police that he had come to the motel to “barbecue all the child molesters on fire and kill them,” the TV station reported.
First, according to witnesses, he rammed and poured gasoline on his victims’ cars, trying to set them ablaze. Authorities said the suspect then broke a window at a room at the Friendly Village Inn in Kissimmee, Florida, and then began throwing gasoline on the front door.
According to witnesses, he yelled, “I’m going to kill you, child molester” during the attack. Authorities say that at least two of the four victims targeted by Porto-Sierra are confirmed sex offenders.
Porto-Sierra has been taken into custody at Osceola County jail, where he is reportedly being held without bond.
The suspect told police that he was not able to successfully burn his victims to death because they had arrived on the scene and interrupted him.
