PALM BAY, FL — An Elvis impersonator in Florida has been arrested in a sex sting after allegedly arranging a sexual encounter with a person whom he believed was a 13-year-old girl.
Paul Amato, 64, was decked out in a white jumpsuit with an American flag cape when he went to meet the fictitious 13-year-old girl and her father, according to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
The correspondence began on March 27, when Amato began speaking with a Sheriff’s Office agent posing as the father. Amato continued to having sexually explicit exchanges with the “child” for several days.
On April 2, Amato showed up at an undisclosed location to meet the undercover agent. He brought multiple sex toys as gifts for the child, according to arrest documents, and later told investigators that he had specifically wanted to meet the fictitious child in his Elvis costume.
Amato reportedly told the undercover agent “I can be Uncle Elvis to her instead.”
He was arrested and taken to the Seminole County Jail, where he is reportedly being held without bond.
